Community Guidelines

How we keep Greets safe, respectful, and fun for everyone.

Greets is built on the idea that meeting new people is better together. These guidelines help keep our community safe, respectful, and fun for everyone. They apply to all users and all content on Greets — profiles, photos, groups, and chats. Violating these guidelines may result in content removal, account suspension, or a permanent ban. We may also report illegal activity to law enforcement.

Be Respectful

Treat others the way you’d want to be treated. Greets is a social space — not a place for hostility.

  • No harassment, bullying, or repeated unwanted contact
  • No threats of violence or intimidation
  • No encouraging self-harm or harm to others
  • Respect when someone isn’t interested in connecting — accept it gracefully

Keep It Safe

  • No nudity or sexually explicit content
  • No content involving minors in any sexual or exploitative context — zero tolerance
  • No sharing of private, identifying information about others without their consent (addresses, phone numbers, school or workplace details)
  • No content that promotes dangerous activities or illegal behaviour

Be Honest

  • Use your real age — do not misrepresent how old you are
  • Do not impersonate another person, celebrity, or organisation
  • Do not create fake profiles or use photos that are not of you (or your group)
  • Do not create multiple accounts to evade restrictions

Respect Group Boundaries

Greets is a group app. That comes with shared responsibility.

  • Only add people to your group who have agreed to join
  • Do not pressure group members to vote a certain way on a match
  • If someone leaves your group, respect their decision — do not contact them harassingly
  • Group creators are responsible for the culture of their group

Keep Chats Appropriate

  • Do not send unsolicited sexual content to individuals or groups
  • Do not spam groups with promotional content, links, or repeated messages
  • Do not share content that is hateful, discriminatory, or violent
  • Location shares in chat should be used thoughtfully — do not share someone else’s location without their consent

No Scams or Spam

  • Do not use Greets to solicit money, sell products, or promote services
  • Do not send phishing links or direct users to suspicious external websites
  • Do not use bots or automated tools to interact with the Service

What Happens When You Break the Rules

We use a combination of automated tools and human review to enforce these guidelines. Depending on the severity and frequency of violations, we may:

  1. Remove the offending content
  2. Issue a warning
  3. Temporarily suspend your account
  4. Permanently ban your account
  5. Report illegal content to law enforcement

We do not always issue a warning before taking action, particularly for serious violations such as content involving minors, credible threats, or illegal activity.

How to Report and Block

If you see something that violates these guidelines:

Report — Tap the report option on a user’s profile, photo, or group card. Select the reason and submit. Our team reviews all reports.

Block — Block a user to stop them from appearing in your discovery feed or contacting you. You can block users from their profile.

A Note on Meeting in Person

Greets is designed to help groups connect online and eventually meet in real life. If you choose to meet people from Greets in person, always follow our Safety Tips — meet in public, tell a friend, and trust your instincts.

These guidelines may be updated from time to time. Continued use of Greets means you agree to the current version. Questions? Contact us at Support Email.
